They say size doesn’t matter, but try telling that to Caroline Stillman.

The Nottingham entrepreneur’s luxury brand of shoes for tall women with unusually large feet continues to go from strength to strength, having recently relocated back to Nottingham.

Now Carobella Boutique is continuing to make big strides, with plans to get plus sized shoes in the major high street chains.

Caroline’s success was born out of adversity. Now standing a proud 6ft 4ins tall, she was diagnosed with connective tissue disorder Marfan syndrome at an early age and left school due to bullying.

But after completing her education at home she went on to study footwear design at De Montfort University and the London College of Fashion. Now Caroline has moved her business back up into Notts’ creative hub, the Lace Market.

Caroline has shown fantastic entrepreneurial spirit by turning what could have been perceived as a negative into a strong positive – a USP for her very own design brand.

Nottingham has produced famous designers such as a certain Paul Smith, so Caroline certainly has some big shoes to fill before she reaches those heights. We’re all routing for her here at
